It depends where you save the picture,

If you save it to for example "my pictures" in windows, it does't affect
the pic on the memory stick. If however
you have it to save the pic to the place
where it came from, it will alter the
original pic. If that is the case the
camera may not be able to read the pic
but the pc will read it.

Kind of strange I know,but that is the
way it is. won't go into the reason why
it happens, just take note of it.
