Photography has been a hobby turned to obssesion for me. I have very nice equipment, better than so of the pros in my area. I have been doing photos of my kids and friends for years and taken a few classes online, mostly I just seem to have an eye and thinks in terms of how to set up a shot 24/7. I just love it, I am happiest behind my cameras. I find myself at a cross roads. I feel like if I am ever to do it I should try now. I am lucky that I have a home studio, lighting, muslins, medium format and 35mm systems and a spouce who pays the bills so I am not in a financial do or die situation. I am told by friends and family that I am good and must say but still wonder if my work is good enough to charge for. Just a note, I had worked for years in physical therapy and do very well with the public so I don't dought myself there. Below are a few pics, please let me know what you think.

What are you waiting for? Sounds like you're doing it already but not getting paid for it. Set some prices and advertise. Start slowly. Seems like you have little to lose, and tons to gain. Good luck!

Lisa Lenderink 		  I think your photos looked wonderful. Especially the one of your son in the chair! Go for it! That's what I did and I've never regreted it! I've never had to advertise....all word of mouth! I've even surprised myself! :)
