Right Click allowed

I know that anyone CAN copy images if they want but why make it easy?

I am dismayed to discover that photos in the Deluxe websites do not seem to have the same right click copy protection that the Basic and Pro galleries have.

When I realized that right click copy was enabled on my Deluxe website I questioned Better Photo Support about the issue and received an unsatisfactory answer. .I was told that BP has java-script right-click protection but some browsers deactivate the right click. This doesnít make sense. Iím using the same browser when I access each area of Better Photo. Right click block works everywhere except for Deluxe Galleries.

It was suggested that I could register each of my images with the US Copyright office. That would be time consuming, expensive, and cumbersome. Iím just a hobbyist; Iíve never sold any of my pictures. Iím not about to start having all of them registered. I was told to watermark my pictures. I already do that, it takes only a minute to clone over a watermark.

I have always supported Better Photo when other members complained about changes but I am disappointed about this issue.

I know that anyone CAN copy images if they want but why make it easy?

I think this is a big worry for a lot of people, Irene. Don't know if this helps, but photos can be registered with PIXSY. They monitor your images, alert you if they turn up somewhere, and resolve the issue. Don't know if it's easy to use, or how expensive it is. I know of some pros who use it. Doesn't solve the problem here but thought I'd mention it.

This has been resolved. There is a toggle that must be activated to enable right click blocking. Apparently there are many BP website owners who either, do not know the feature must be manually turned on, or they don't care if their photos are available.

Erica, it appears that you have found the toggle but I will answer your question in case someone else is wondering.

In your "Admin Center" click the "Photos" tab. You will find "Image Protection" under "Display Options" in the far right column.
