How are winners chosen I have had a few EP, but I received a second place yesterday. I'm really excited, but how are these chosen, and what does EP~Second place~finalist mean. I was excited with EP now you have no idea how I feel getting a second Place....but just wondered how my image was chosen.

You will never know, because BP doesn't choose to discuss the judging methods. Just be happy with what you get and move on to next month. Congrats on your win.

Brenda, BP has various elimination rounds for the contest. The first is the EP round, in which maybe half the photos advance. If your photo advances, it garners the EP badge. There are several other elimination rounds that BP does, then they award Staff Favs. The next elimination round is Finalist, then from there they pick the 111 gold medals.
