Photography Question

What do these letters mean?

I have a Canon T60, and although I use it frequently, I have no idea what the letters on the dial mean... "L" (in a red box), "A" (in a white box), and "B". I could probably get better pictures if I knew what these functions did!! Thanks in advance for the help...

L means locked or off. A means aperture priority. You set the aperture and the camera automatically set the shutter speed. B means 'BULB' which you use for long exposure. You can hold the shutter open as long as you want until you release it. Hope this helps.
