email notifications

Even though I dutifully check the notification box when I respond to a discussion in the forum, I do not receive the notifications. This is true only since the roll-out of the new BP. Anyone else? How do I fix this - there are certain discussions for which I really like to get notifications.

Yes, I'm having the same problem. I wrote in about a week or so ago and haven't heard anything. I'm pretty sure I have the thing set right, so I don't know what's up.

Is anybody getting them? I'm still not. The only notifications I'm getting is when someone comments on my photos. Nothing from the QnA at all.

  Hi All,
Interesting discussion here :)

In your Profile (My Profile > "Notifications, Suibscriptions & Preferences" ), you can manage your notifications in a couple of ways:

-- Overall Notification Default (on or off). But if your overall default is "off", you can still turn a particular photo or discussion "on" and you will -- hmmmmm, should -- get notified.

-- In addition, on the same page, you can manage Individual Notification Settings.

When responding to a Q&A Forum thread, note that the default is for NO notification (the option is just above the Submit button).

I'm running a little test here, by the way :) ... I've re-set my Overall Notification Detault to OFF (normally I have it at ON), but I have clicked the box on this answer page to be notified when someone responds to this thread. So, in other words, my overall is set for "off", this thread is "on" ... I'll find out if it works as designed!

Kerry

  Thanks for the response, Kerry.
Helping out with your test ... did you get a notification for this response?
Best regards
Peggy

  Hi Peggy,
Thanks for the note. Well, no auto-notification email, and I double-checked, and should have received it :( ... I'll be reporting this to the tech crew.

Thanks again!

Kerry
