fool proof photography

recently purchased nikon dx1. I am the owner, but mainly work with digital photo processing. Here is the problem. I wanted the top of the line camera , thus the DX1. But, now however seam to spend a lot of time correcting Photographys. Dx1 has to many features which accounts for a high number of errors. (over and under lighting, focus) Now here is what I need. (besides highing better photographers to late for that). Looking for (1.) high resolution (2) meg-card 1 gag atleast. 8x10 or higher pixels. Have a contract to shoot 900 Kids . no time for errors... need quailty but fool proof camera.. any suggestions would be helpful. their will be 3 photographers on this outdoor shoot.. thank you

  Judy,
Trying to write this in a manner that's not glib or wise-###. There's no such thing as a "fool-proof" camera (in spite of what the camera makers might want you to think). Ultimately it comes down to the overall experience and skill of the photographer, and specific experience and skill with the specific equipment being used.

The DX1 is certainly a very capbable camera system. I suggest some "practice" sessions with your photographers becoming accustomed to handling the camera, and using it with the typical lighting conditions under which they will be working. Nothing can take the place of experience coupled with an organized critiquing of results. I do this to myself with *every* roll of film shot, and I've been doing it for errr, ummm, let's leave it at quite a few years now.
