BetterPhoto's POTD: A Daily Dose of Inspiration How do you enter the Photo of the Day contest? Is it different from the regular monthly contest, or is it just a photo that is picked daily out of the monthly contest?

Hi Wally, Thanks for your interest! Photo of the Day isn't actually a contest, but as you noted, POTD pics come from BetterPhoto's free contest. Following is a rundown. Thanks for your interest in the POTD, Walter! Kerry
All images for the Photo of the Day newsletter - BetterPhoto's daily dose of inspiration - are chosen from contest entries. The judges at BetterPhoto make the selections. A Photo of the Day, however, does not guarantee a contest victory. It's just us saying "Wow! Great photo!" In order to get a good balance of photos over a period of days and weeks (i.e., "traditional," digital art, color, black and white, landscapes, details, animals, etc.), some of the pictures are "held over" into the next month ... or even the month after that. :-) Thus, although some photos may have a "contest finalist/winner" award attached to it, those particular images were actually chosen for POTD status BEFORE the final contest judging.
