Shadow

I encounter shadows at the back of the image for my portraits. What will be my best depth of field, shutter speed and the distance from the object to eliminate this problem?

  Idham,

I don't think that DOF, shutter speed and subject distance will help you with this. You didn't mention whether you are using on-camera flash or some form of studio lighting off-camera (on light stands).

On-Camera:
If you are using on-camera flash, it has more to do with keeping the flash above the lens and keeping a flat background such as a wall from being directly behind the subject whenever possible (no closer than about 5 feet). There was a longer discussion about shadows behind subjects with on-camera flash in an earlier question here:

Off-Camera:
If you are using studio lights in a studio with a backdrop, sometimes a lower powered "kicker" light hidden behind the subject will add enough light to the background to eliminate softer shadows from the main lights. Harsher shadows may require repositioning the main lights. If you have sharp and harsh shadows under these conditions, then soften the lighting with either light boxes or umbrellas. If your shadow problem is with multiple off-camera studio lights, this is a very complex subject and you might wish to get a book on studio lighting.
