Extreme closeup of cd in full sun used for background layer, double exposure of black-eyed susan on cd, then inverted on Layer 2, various brushes used to blend, this took several hours.

Thank you, Stephen and Theresa. It was a fun way to spend a rainy afternoon learning to use Photoshop Elements.

Hi Su and Diane, many thanks for your comments. I was so happy when the Digital Darkroom category was added. A big thank you to Jim Miotke for all his hard work in making this such a special site for photographers to share with each other and learn something new every day!

Excelent job Linda,

This image actually fooled me for a second. I had no idea that it was a double exposure. It's very creative.

Melissa

Hi. I just joined today and am looking forward to learning a lot! I am thinking of buying Photoshop Elements and I can't seem to find many reviews that compare Photoshop products to each other. Help?

Hi, Linda! Beautiful! I am taking "Creative Techniques in Photoshop" here, and am just learning about layers, and tools. I went way over my head with CS2 but I don't regret it, as I am also an artist. Yesterday I submitted an assignment that took me all day to finish, so I respect the hard work that goes into producing a satisfying result! Congratulations! As for Adobe, I still think it's better than most. I also recently bought Aperture from Apple,(it will hold the RAW data from any camera and not convert it as would Adobe) but for the normal snap-shot photographer, I think Elements is sufficient. I'll keep an eye out for you! Take care, Kathy
