Waterdrop photos are fun and easy to do. Place drops of water on a sheet of glass. Put item under glass and take the photo. I place table lamps on level with the glass. Overhead lights will reflect as distracting spots on the image. I think that for most of my creations I use ISO 100, Av-18, Tv-80.

To blur the background you'll want the glass to be about 12 inches above your subject. Try various arrangements.
