Striking mood here! I like the idea to use B&W in this landscape picture. Light (very good exposure of the rock)and frame are great. Very nice dark diagonale formed byt the tree. Only one reproach : the falls aren't very easy to find in the composition (probably because the shot is in B&W). Beautiful composition.

Frederic, I agree with you about the falls being hard to find. I should have given it a different name. The title makes it a bit confusing. I was headed for Nevada Falls when an unforcasted winter storm popped up. If I had turned around to take a picture you would have seen one powerful and meanacing snow storm. It was an interesting trip though. I only got one day there and it was interupted by a storm. Then when I got back to my van there were Park Rangers there threating to arrest me because I had skydiving gear in my vehicle. I did come up with a few good images in the few hours I had and I look foward to the chance to return someday.
