The Dish

BetterPhoto.com Editor's Pick
The Dish
The Dish
The CSIRO’s Radio Telescope.
This facility has been operating for over 50 Years, but it has been continuously modified to modern standards. The dish is now 10 000 times more sensitive than when it was commissioned back in 1961. It has a close affiliation with NASA, and has been extensively used in tracking space activates, including the Apollo 11 Moon landing. The Australian fictional Movie “The Dish” was shot at the telescope, and the town of Forbes.
