We don't usually get any thunderstorms in June in California. I was on the balcony watching the clouds & colors change by the minute.

Summer Storm

Typically, after the severe threats that accompany the Spring Storm Season here in Texas dissipates, we head into the hot/dry season..... Well the past couple of weeks has brought us numerous pop-up thunderstorms in the afternoon such as this one. Found this truck parked along the creek near our home where folks often launch canoes and kayaks to spend a quiet afternoon on the water.

* The reason that this tree does not have any leaves is because it was in approximately 6-8 feet of water during the floods over the past 2 years. We lost a lot of trees along this water way.... But nature is amazing and things are now recovering nicely. (T&P)

Incredible mood in this well composed shot, Jeff, with just the right processing to evoke the mood of an afternoon storm. I'm glad nature is kicking and recovery is in process!

Sounds like it may not be a good idea to park and leave a truck there while a storm his brewing!! Love the tones, mood and sorry to here the tree lost all its leaves but it adds a lot to this image!! Excellent work Jeff and thanks the info very interesting!!

Some of the trees in the background show the buffeting by water. What a magnificent light is "flooding" this scene, Jeff. Well-timed... well-composed.

Am so glad to hear that things are getting back to normal somewhat. It is amazing how nature can bring things back to life given the chance. Love the scene, the truck, details. I especially love that golden glow and the look it gives the picture. Beautiful work Jeff.
