Leslie: I rarely interact on this site, perhaps the last time was a couple years ago. Though I always enjoy the various images emailed me, but this image of yours is quite dynamic in that the blurring is founded on the vertical aspects of the subject matter (though is usually attributed to an implied direction of movement- in this case is horizontal) but this achieve a softness of environment, thereby emphasis is engage your conceptual title of "Serenity". Leaving the human subject and act in relative sharp focus. If you make imagery just half as fine as this it'll be worthy. Your most valuable element in this work is the counter-intuitive use of the vertical blur.

The counter intuitive use of blur (on the vertical element of image, rather than on the directional horizontal movement of subject) is an incredible move on your part. This give the environment the full impact of your conceptual title of "Serenity". The relative in-focus subject speak in an ample way for itself.
