Great capture of an American Kestrel, it is a small falcon. Male has blue head and back. Note the dark bars on side of face. If it were a Female, it would have a brown head and back the bars are larger.

Thank you, Micky. I appreciate the info on the American Kestrel as well. I looked it up last winter when he was here. We did wind up with 2, so I am sure the other was probably a female, but didn't get to take a photo of her I don't think (need to go back and review now). <><
