The Dance of Life Winding Down

The beautiful tulip that Elaine posted this week and Dale's comment that dying tulips are great subjects brought me back to my 2010 folder and I did a couple of re-dos today using texture. The wall behind them was really quite stark and it they begged for some more light. Here is another one that I will submit for my Texture Tuesday on Flickr.

Don't think I've seen flower picture like this one before. And, of course, you background textures are always amazing.

Nicely done.

Very nice Debbie I like them both about equally even though they have their individual characters.

Debbie, these are lovely! I've been trying to work with textures, but I'm not there yet. These are two that give me inspiration to keep trying.

You have really mastered this technique, Debbie! Well done. The first is my favorite of the two, I prefer seeing the full bloom.

I have no idea how you do this-your work is seamless! Really nice job. I think you should talk to Hallmark or American Greetings...

I love dying flowers, much more so than those in full bloom. They have so much more character. Nice work ~April
