Kitty...they just get better and better. I'm sure this is my all-time favorite shot of a Red Bellied male. And I personally have shot hundreds. The light is golden and luscious, and the bird is not in its classic vertical pose on the side of a tree trunk, but is balanced on this delicate twig...and the bonus is the berry in is bill. I'm utterly in awe of this!

Thank you SO MUCH Liz and Michelle. You do my heat good. When I got to Valley Forge yesterday I had my husband's car and therefore NO TRIPOD in the back seat. I could have kicked myself. As I drove through the woods I came across this guy and luckily he let me get out of the car, open my door to a good angle and balance the camera on the top of the car door. It was a lucky day.
