Can I take this class even if I don't own this camera?
Yes. The lessons and assignments are geared toward current owners, but anyone with an interest in the Nikon D2X is welcome!

Do I need any special imaging software to take this class?
You'll need an image editing software program that can process D2X/D2Xs files. Incidentally, the Adobe Camera Raw 3.3 update - for Photoshop CS2 and Elements 3 and 4 - supports the D2X. Also, the next Aperture version will be able to handle D2X files.

What about skill level. This is a high-end camera, and I don't want to be lost just because I'm not a pro.

Don't worry. All you need for this course is a basic working knowledge of camera controls and some shooting experience.
