I took a drive to the Falls (Niagara Falls SP) yesterday and found the trees coated heavily with ice from the Fall's mist. Many branches were down and even a few tree trunks had split. It was beautiful but what a shame about the tree damage. In this shot you can only see a few smaller branches on the ground. There was the constant sound of thick ice crashing to the ground as the temperatures were beginning to rise. From temps barely reaching 10 degrees a few days ago to almost 60 degrees on Wednesday, all of the trees will be bare shortly, if not already.
