It's April in Pike County meaning Hillbilly Days in the county seat Pikeville, KY. Bored with photographing "hillbillies" from previous years, I opted to shoot the real hillbillies. I photographed this, as you can see, at the pony ride.
'First Ride' is a memory of mine and others of their first and maybe last ride on a pony.
