My husband, Bob, was sharing a very special moment with Bailey, our Golden Retriever, during a morning walk at Hilton Head Island.
Bailey is a registered therapy dog and has literally brought smiles to hundreds of children and adults during visits to hospitals, nursing homes, and grade schools over the years.
In January, our 10-year-old pup was diagnosed with lymphoma, and has been going through a chemotherapy treatment protocol. He's in total remission, and is doing very well. He has taught us that every day is a gift.
Fiddled in the digital darkroom and added a few textures.
