On the heels of a family reunion and a trip to the farm house (in Askeaton, Wisconsin) where my great grandparents settled when they immigrated from Holland in 1888, I have combined a modern image of the farmhouse as it stands today with an image from about 1900 featuring my great-grandparents and their family. My maternal grandfather is the boy to the left of my great-grandmother sitting on the grass in black (he was born in 1896).
