I began working with 35mm photography during the 1980’s. I switched to digital photography in 1999 and never looked back. I find satisfaction in documenting a “slice of ordinary life” for others to view as I see it. I attempt to capture the essence of what I see in my pictures. I believe that a picture should tell a story; indeed it should be worth 10,000 words expressed at 1/60th of a second.

My educational background is scientific, business and computer oriented and my work life has been in technical positions. Photography adds a much needed balance to my creative side.

Working with digital photography I have the best of both worlds by using my camera and my computer ability to manipulate images in Photoshop as may be done in the darkroom when using film.
