I am a 60 year old boomer that enjoys photography as a hobby. Alright an expensive hobby. Constantly looking to learn and experiment and maybe in a few years maybe have a second career. I did some black and white darkroom work almost 35 years ago but became primarily a family vacation snap shot guy for the last 30 years.

I am currently shooting a D800 primarily with the 28-300 Nikkor. I also have a super wide Nikon 16-35 mm, A tamron 90mm Macro, and Sigma 150-500 for wildlife and a 50mm 1.4 for portraits. I just purchased a Tamron 70-200 f 2.8 VR.

While I am getting somewhat good with Lightroom, I am still a novice with Photoshop. But then again it seems that the program is so huge and complex it is difficult to ever be an expert.

While I try to get everything done well in camera it was very frustrating to try and match the photos I saw in magazines and on the web. It is comforting to know that others, far more experienced than I, have some good editing at their disposal.
