In Vietnam, one of the jobs I had was "Combat Correspondent." I had a photographer friend who traveled around with me ... he taught me the rudiments of photography and darkroom processing. Eventually, I bought a Yashica SLR and used it quite a bit, but I lost it one day ... that was almost the end of my photographic career!!

Flash forward 35 years ... I discovered digital photography quite by accident and the ease with which one can manipulate photos using software like Photoshop. I was hooked again !! In the last four years I have progressed from a Kodak point and shoot, an Olympus Camedia C-750 and now a Canon 20D. But I also recognize that there is so much I do not know about photography. My goal is to participate and learn as much as possible. One day I will submit a winning photo in a BetterPhoto contest. Take a look at my photos ... your comments are welcomed.
