Welcome to my gallery!

I live in Austria. We have a small wooden block house in the foothills of the Alps, around 630 m (2000 ft.) elevation, with a magnificient view as our house is on a steep slope with not a tree to block georgeous sunsets.

I always liked taking pictures, but only since retirement I have taken this hobby more seriously - mostly flowers and landscape.

I joined BP on January 6, 2006 and got my first digital camera, a Pentax *istDL. And what two years these were! I surf daily many galleries, joined four BP courses, learned a lot and think that my photography has improved visibly. At least I do hope so!

In February 2007 I upgraded to a Pentax K10D and enjoy the new facilities offered in this camera, such as shake reduction and multiple exposures.

The BetterPhoto community provides me with many wonderful inspirations and is great fun. Any critiques and comments are most welcome!
