I have been taking pictures since I was a young teen but had never attempted to show any until about twelve years ago when I started entering some local photo contests. I switched to digital in 2003 upon my retirement when I was given a Nikon 5700. In 2005 I fell and broke the 5700 and was given a Nikon 8700 as a replacement. In November of 2008 I purchased my first SLR, the new Nikon D60.
I like nature photography the most, but dabble in many other things as well.
My wife of 52 years and I have three married children and four grandchildren plus other foster children and foster grandchildren. Our daughter lives on Oahu in Hawaii with her husband and our two oldest grandchildren and our oldest son and his wife live in Bellingham, Washington; so we do travel some. Our youngest son and his wife and daughters were professional clowns, and still do some clown and mime work.
