I love photography! I've had an interest in photography since I was very young, but really began pursuing my passion about 8 years ago. I am amazed at God's creation... people, animals, nature. I strive to give it justice through my photography. Betterphoto and the incredible talent represented here has helped me tremendously and I know it will continue to do so.

I have a small portrait photography business and reside in the Valley of the Sun with my husband, three children and two dogs.

What kind of photography do you most enjoy?
I truly have an interest in all types of photography because it challenges me to sharpen my skills as a photographer. If I had to narrow it down, I would say that portrait photography is my favorite. {I also love photographing dogs and food!}

How long have you been a photographer?
I started seriously pursuing photography in 2001

What got you started?
Unfortunately, when I was 7 years old, we lost our house to a fire... our photo albums and every picture on the wall was gone forever. Ever since then I have wanted to preserve every piece of every moment, every memory.

What inspires you?
For me, it's God! I am amazed at His creation. The earth is filled with such incredible design... amazing colors, shapes and patterns.

What are your photography goals?
I want to continue to stretch myself as an artist... both technically and creatively. I still have so much to learn!

How has BetterPhoto helped you attain them?
BetterPhoto is where I first started to dig deep. When I joined BP 5 years ago, I was still very new to photography and lacked confidence in my work. As I began to post images, I received wonderful support from the BP community. Not only did I receive encouragement, but constructive criticism was also given in a positive atmosphere. I then enrolled in two BP classes and began to see my skills improve greatly. I just LOVE BetterPhoto!
