The Unexpected Winter

Description

An unprecedented week across the Lone Star State - Whatever you may have seen in the media - Honestly, it is probably worse for most people...... A very long road ahead to resume some level of "normalcy" for millions. We have been extremely lucky as we had both electricity and water - And we are extremely thankful. When it warms up, and the snow and ice melts over the next few days, it may be a different story for many. On the other hand there are so many heartwarming stories of people helping people - True Texans.

Beautiful winter capture, Jeff. I feel your pain and have been watching it on TV. We probably have almost two feet of snow on the ground in Chicago. It has been a terrible winter this year. #1756928

Sad to hear all that Texas is going through. Pray that things start to improve. My son is in Memphis in Grad school and this weather is very unusual for them. Beautiful comp. and Winter capture, Jeff. Take care #11877534

Glad you are okay and have power and water, Jeff! Worried about some others we haven't heard from. We had record snowfall and record low temp, too. Photography from the windows. Great shot and perfect title for this week. #11877567

Beautifully done, Jeff! We had power problems over 4 days and are having water problems now. I have lived in Texas since 1968 and this is by far the worse I have seen here south of Houston. I lived in the Mohawk valley of New York for 8 months and the cold and snow were bad but they were prepared for it. #11877633
