Description

As I entered this trail on Grandfather Mountain the park ranger said "You have one hour warning to head back to this trail head as a storm is expected in two hours. this is a two mile in and out trail on the upper park ridge for those of you familiar with the mountain. The terrain is rough and the ranger also checked for proper footwear as the trails are often sported by hikers not adequately prepared for the rough and often slick terrain with drop-offs.
